Integration Patterns
As the name suggest, these are patterns based out of Integrating
Various systems so as to make these systems collaborate and work
Efficiently as a complete and single system/unit. These patterns
(Integration patterns) should address all integration related issues
such as connectivity, scalability, portability, inter-operability,
message exchange formats and handling corresponding meta data
definitions and many more.
A very descriptive knowledge on Integration challenges and some
solutions to these common re-occurring challenges in Integration
Pattern can be read at http://www.enterpriseintegrationpatterns.com/Chapter1.html
Right from the beginning of Information Technology growth, there comes
complexities of handling these many different application and managing
and supporting cost goes exponentially high if not allowed to bring
all these diverse applications onto a common platform, so as to have
all the integration related issues addressed and a set of proven patterns
can be summarized, in order not to repeat same mistake again and again,
that's what I think so, being an Architect, my primary goal is to see
that all the non-functional requirements fit well when a project/product
boundaries grow beyond a single or two applications.
With ever changing Technologies and improvement in one area or the another,
one has to constantly watch out for improvement and raise performance so
as to accommodate a never ending rush of more attitude, when it comes to
handling volume of data, request, response, queues etc.
