I think, there are enough matterials at

http://www.jboss.org/jbosssso/

and some tutorials on basic of SSO using Java Technology at

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/security/jgss/single-signon.html

and

http://developers.sun.com/identity/reference/techart/bp_sso.html

and

some Open Source SSO implementation can be taken to consideration (But I am not sure whether this supported
in JBoss or not??)

Have any one visited and explored this implementation for Authentication requirements,

https://cardspaceauthn.dev.java.net/

I guess , this will help in terms of providing Authentication.
